Founder, Ryan Murphy, grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and entered the workforce at age 15, but spent many years prior assisting his mother on numerous home projects. By age 25, he was the right-hand man to the owner of a home rehabilitation company serving Metro Detroit.

Seeking a better opportunity (and better weather) an education opportunity took him to Vancouver, BC, Canada, then to Hollywood, California, where he ran a maintenance and remodel crew for a large historic entertainment venue.

Ryan then went on to become a national leader with a large corporation that serviced thousands of amazing restaurants. He led numerous teams to great heights, overcoming stressful obstacles… until COVID hit.

In that fog, one day in 2021, Ryan recalled the real joy of handywork, the opportunity for a more positive impact to his community, and he created MURPHY Home Repair. Since then, Ryan, and his team, have proudly served the San Diego area.
